Compatibility

Front hub motor wheels are available from 16” to 700c and fit standard 100mm fork spacing found on most bicycles. Fat bikes typically require wider spacing, making a rear motor the better option. If you’re unsure about your fork width or bike style, our team is happy to help.

Battery Options

Kits are available with or without a battery. Systems paired with lithium-ion batteries appear lower in the collection as prices increase. All E-BikeKit motors and controllers are compatible with 36V or 48V lithium batteries. When purchased without a battery, each kit includes a universal wiring harness for use with most third-party lithium packs.

Front vs. Rear Wheel Systems

Most electric bike conversion kits are offered in both front and rear configurations. Front kits are simple to install and work well for commuting, while rear kits provide improved traction and performance for hills, cargo, or heavier riders.
