Convert Your Sun Fat-Tad to Electric

The E-BikeKit™ Fat-Tad Conversion Kit is designed to integrate seamlessly with the Fat-Tad’s tadpole geometry and wide rear dropout spacing, preserving stability while adding powerful electric assist.

Power comes from a rear 750W internally geared fat-bike hub motor featuring a 5:1 planetary gear reduction and internal clutch. The clutch provides zero drag when pedaling without power, while the geared design delivers excellent low-speed torque and strong hill-climbing performance.

Compared to a direct-drive motor, this geared fat-bike motor is lighter, more efficient, and better suited to mixed-terrain riding, making it ideal for riders who want power without sacrificing responsiveness.

Who is this kit for? This system is ideal for riders who want a powerful, torque-rich fat-tire tadpole trike capable of handling pavement, gravel, and mixed terrain. Recommended for total system loads up to 300 lbs.

Optional battery mounting kit: When selected, this kit includes the battery mounting plate and all required hardware to securely mount the battery as shown in the product photos, providing proper weight distribution and a clean, finished installation.

Note: A Topeak bar extender for LCD positioning is not included and may be added separately if desired.
