The E-BikeKit™ Trident Stowaway Conversion Kit includes specialized components selected specifically for the Stowaway platform, ensuring proper fit, drivetrain alignment, and predictable handling.

The system is powered by a rear 500W internally geared hub motor featuring a 5:1 planetary gear reduction and internal clutch. This design provides excellent low-speed torque, strong hill-climbing ability, and zero drag when pedaling without power.

Compared to a direct-drive motor of similar power, this geared motor is lighter, more efficient, and better suited to stop-and-go riding, helping maximize range while maintaining a quieter, more discreet profile.

Pedal-assist compatibility note:
Some newer Trident models use external-bearing bottom brackets, which require special PAS components. The default configuration is a left-side PAS sensor for square-taper bottom brackets. If your trike uses an external-bearing crankset, please contact us with photos before ordering so we can supply the correct PAS hardware.

Who is this kit for? This system is ideal for riders who want high efficiency, lighter weight, strong starting torque, and higher top speed on a recumbent trike. The total system load limit is 300 lbs. Riders exceeding this should consider a heavy-duty system instead.

Battery mounting: This kit does not include a dedicated battery mounting system. Because the Stowaway is a folding trike, battery placement varies by configuration. We recommend contacting us before ordering so we can discuss mounting options that work with your setup.
