Court Rye of ElectricBikeReview.com reviews the E-TrikeKit™ adult tricycle conversion kit system.
The E-TrikeKit is designed specifically for adult tricycles. The direct-drive hub motor is designed to deliver more low-end torque and a lower top speed. With an LED battery indicator, reverse function, locking e-brake handles and 36v 9FET controller, the system is ideal for adult tricycles. The E-TrikeKit is the only tricycle specific conversion kit of its kind with unique features including alternate speed limited reverse! Ideal for Schwinn Meridians, SUN and Worksman adult tricycles.
E-BikeKit 500w Direct-Drive Kit Video Review by ElectricBikeReview.com
Court Rye of ElectricBikeReview.com reviews the E-BikeKit Rear 500w conversion kit system.
This economical electric bike conversion kit system is for riders on a budget that want the power of the 500w direct-drive hub motor combined with the affordability of a sealed lead-acid (SLA) battery. The direct-drive hub motor is for heavier applications and a MUST for any total load (bike+rider+cargo) of 200 lbs. or more. The motor is capable of 36v or 48v use and warranted for 2 years. Direct-drive motors are strong, durable and long-lasting due to zero internal friction. Some lower quality or larger direct-drive motors have resistance, but that should not be a concern with this E-BikeKit direct-drive hub motor.
E-BikeKit 350w Geared Kit Video Review by ElectricBikeReview.com
Court Rye of ElectricBikeReview.com reviews the E-BikeKit Rear 350w conversion kit system.
This electric bike conversion kit system is for riders that want greater efficiency, stealth and the lighter weight of a geared hub motor combined with the affordability of a sealed lead-acid (SLA) battery. The 350w geared hub motor is for giving pedal-power a boost and NOT appropriate for any total load (bike+rider+cargo) greater than 200 pounds. The motor is intended for 36v use only and warranted for 1 year. Geared motors are lightweight, compact and efficient, allowing for greater range per charge when compared with direct-drive motors of equal power.
Pete Prebus of ElectricBikeReport.com reviews the E-BikeKit Rear 500w conversion kit system installed on a TerraTrike Rambler.
Recently I became interested in electric recumbent trikes because of the number of new e-trikes that have hit the market or will hit the market soon. Due to the fact that electric recumbent trikes are a growing niche in the light electric vehicle world, I put together a guide to electric recumbent trikes. There are also the traditional upright electric trikes and these have proven to be utilitarian delivery vehicles. FedEx uses electric trikes in Paris and B-Line Sustainable Urban Delivery uses them in Portland, Oregon. With all of that, I set out to do a full review of an e-recumbent trike and that is how the TerraTrike Rambler with The E-BikeKit Electric Bike Conversion System came together! The TerraTrike Rambler is a mid level recumbent trike that has some nice features (chromoly frame, 24 speeds, disc brakes) and the new E-BikeKit system features a nice LCD display and provides an easy way to convert a bike or trike to electric. In addition, this particular E-BikeKit can power the trike up to 28 mph!
