The E-BikeKit Electric Trike Conversion System is configured for compatible traditional upright adult tricycles. The front-wheel layout leaves the tricycle's rear axle and drivetrain unchanged while adding smooth electric assist, throttle control, and your choice of cadence or torque-sensing pedal assist.

Electric Trike Conversion System – 48V 15Ah Battery

This current-generation E-BikeKit system replaces the legacy E-TrikeKit electronics with the latest SINET™ conversion platform. It is intended for compatible conventional upright adult tricycles using a standard 100 mm conventional slotted front fork.

The system uses a 500W nominal front hub motor. Because the motor is installed in the front wheel, the tricycle's existing rear axle, rear wheels, chain, and drivetrain remain unchanged.

The SINET™ sine-wave controller is integrated into the battery cradle, reducing external components and creating a cleaner installation. The system includes the current E-BikeKit 48V 15Ah lithium-ion battery and matching 3A charger.

Ordering is simple: select the front wheel size that matches your tricycle and choose either the Cadence Sensor or Torque Sensor + Crank Conversion Kit. Front dropout spacing is always 100 mm for this system.

This system is designed around standard 100 mm conventional slotted front fork dropouts. The motor is installed in the front wheel, so the tricycle's rear axle and drivetrain remain unchanged.

Cadence Sensor

The cadence sensor detects crank rotation and activates pedal assistance according to the assist level selected on the LCD. It is an external left-side sensor and is the simpler installation option for most conversions.

Torque Sensor + Crank Conversion Kit

Many traditional upright adult tricycles use a one-piece crank that is not directly compatible with the SINET™ 68 mm square-taper bottom bracket torque sensor. The Torque Sensor + Crank Conversion Kit provides the components needed to convert a compatible one-piece-crank tricycle to a three-piece crank configuration and install the SINET™ torque sensor.

Which should you choose? The Cadence Sensor is the simpler installation and does not require converting a compatible one-piece crank system to a three-piece crank. The Torque Sensor + Crank Conversion Kit provides a more natural, proportional response and includes the torque sensor, bottom bracket adapter, three-piece cranks, and pedals required for the conversion, but installation is substantially more involved.

Battery Mounting: The battery slides into and locks onto the included battery/controller cradle. The cradle has two mounting holes designed to work well with standard downtube water-bottle mounting bosses when the tricycle frame provides a suitable location.

A frame-specific battery mount is not included. The cradle may also be installed in another secure, structurally appropriate location where a suitable mounting surface can be provided, such as a suitable rear rack that can be safely drilled and securely fastened.

This system is intended for compatible traditional upright adult tricycles with standard 100 mm conventional slotted front fork dropouts.

Before ordering, confirm:

• Correct front wheel size
• Standard 100 mm front fork dropout spacing
• Conventional slotted front fork dropouts
• A suitable location to securely mount the battery/controller cradle
• A compatible one-piece-crank bottom bracket shell if selecting the Torque Sensor + Crank Conversion Kit

Not Compatible With:

• Front thru-axle forks
• Weak, damaged, or unsuitable front fork dropouts
• Forks that do not provide standard 100 mm dropout spacing
• Suspension forks not designed or approved for hub-motor installations
• Bottom bracket shells or crank configurations incompatible with the selected pedal-assist system or crank conversion components

Installing a front-wheel electric tricycle conversion system requires mechanical bicycle work as well as mounting and routing the electrical components. Professional bicycle-shop installation is recommended if you are not experienced with wheels, brakes, forks, battery mounting, and electric conversion systems.

• Install the motor wheel into standard 100 mm front fork dropouts
• Install the supplied torque arm(s) as required and properly tighten axle hardware
• Mount the integrated battery/controller cradle securely
• Install the 48V 15Ah battery into the cradle
• Install the LCD, thumb throttle, locking e-brake levers, and selected pedal-assist system
• If using the Torque Sensor + Crank Conversion Kit, remove the existing one-piece crank assembly, install the supplied bottom bracket adapter, torque sensor, three-piece cranks and pedals, and route the torque-sensor cable through the required 3/8-inch protected exit hole
• Route and secure all wiring away from moving parts, steering components, tires, chains, and sharp edges
• Verify brake cutoffs, throttle operation, pedal assist, wheel clearance, battery fitment, steering movement, and display settings before riding

Battery shipping: Lithium-ion batteries ship separately via FedEx Hazmat and may require a delivery signature. It is normal for the conversion system, battery, charger, or mounting components to arrive in multiple shipments or on different days.
