Let a dealer install your E-BikeKit - bike shop banner

Prefer Not to DIY? Have a Dealer Install Your E-BikeKit

Converting your own bike to electric is one of the most satisfying projects you can take on. But let's be honest: it's not for everyone. Maybe you don't have the tools, the time, or the interest in spending a Saturday in the garage. Maybe you just want to drop off your bike and pick up an e-bike.

Good news: you can. That's exactly what our dealer network is for.

Step 1: Check the dealer map

The easiest path starts here: our dealer locator. Punch in your ZIP code and you'll see participating E-BikeKit dealers near you. Give the shop a call, confirm they do conversion installations, and you're off to the races.

These are bike shops that already know our systems. They've done conversions before, they stock (or can quickly get) what they need, and they can answer your questions in person.

Step 2: No dealer nearby? Call your local bike shop

Here's the thing most people don't realize: your local bike shop doesn't have to already be an E-BikeKit dealer to do your conversion. Most areas don't have one of our dealers within easy driving distance yet — and that's fine, because we can fix that in minutes.

Do a quick Google search for "bike shops near me," pick up the phone, and say something like this:

"Hi — I want to convert my bike to electric with an E-BikeKit system. Here's their contact information, and here's the bike I have [tell them the make, model, and wheel size]. Could you get in touch with them about doing the installation?"

That's it. That's the whole pitch.

If you'd rather not call, send the shop an email with the same information: you want an E-BikeKit conversion, here's our contact info, here's your bike. Ask them to reach out to us.

What happens next

This is the part people love: once the shop calls us, you barely have to think about it.

We'll talk directly with the shop, walk them through the system, and get them signed up as an E-BikeKit dealer — it takes minutes, not weeks. We'll ship the kit straight to them and provide technical support for your conversion from start to finish. Shops like working with us because they earn a margin on the sale through dealer pricing, so it's a genuine win for everybody.

All you do is drop off your bike and come back to pick up your new electric bike.

What does professional installation cost?

Every shop sets its own labor rates, but most bike shops charge somewhere between $150 and $350 for a conversion installation, depending on your area and the shop. For that, you get a professional installation, someone to answer your questions, and a shop that stands behind the work.

Honestly? For most people who aren't excited about DIY, it's some of the best money in the whole project. No tools to buy, no instructions to puzzle over, no Saturday lost to a stuck bottom bracket. Drop it off, pick it up, ride.

Almost any bike or trike qualifies

One of the best things about the conversion approach: you're not limited to whatever e-bikes happen to be on the showroom floor. If you love your current bike — the fit, the feel, the memories — you keep it. Our systems work with almost any standard bicycle or tricycle. Just tell the shop (and us) what you're riding, and we'll confirm fitment.

We love dealers

We mean that sincerely. Independent bike shops are the backbone of cycling in this country, and they're the best possible place to get a conversion done. A good shop takes all the worry out of the process — and when a shop does great work on your conversion, tell your friends. Nothing grows the e-bike community like a happy rider.

So if DIY isn't your thing, don't let that stop you. Check the dealer map, or call your local shop today. We'll take it from there.
