Fat E-Trike from Sun and E-BikeKit™ at Interbike 2014
Fat bikes and electric bikes were all the rage this year at interbike in Las Vegas. It seemed almost every bike vendor at the show has at least one fat bike model in their booth this year. On top of the fats were the electric bikes. And I think it goes without saying that nobody wants to actually pedal a fat bike so... most of the fatties were also electric:)
J&B had the only fat electric tricycle that i saw at the show. This badboy has 26" x 4" tires all around, a custom wooden battery box with hidden floor for the controller and battery and a killer gold chain for bling. Covered in mud from the outdoor demo before the indoor show, the monster tricycle was a focal point of the SUN Bikes booth with passers-by hopping on nonstop to snap pics.
Electric Bike Report published the first photos of the monster trike on Tuesday night on their facebook page. Rumor has it this Fat Tricycle creation could go into production soon but we won't comment on that. The conversion kit is available with proper rim and spokes via J&B Importers for authorized dealers that have the skills to build the wheel up themselves.
