Description
E-BikeKit™ Rear 500-1000w Direct Drive Hub Motor Conversion Kit w/ Pedal-Assist and Throttle On Demand functions. New programmable LCD!
This electric bike conversion kit isn't with a battery pack. It's for riders that want the simplicity and reliability of the 500w direct drive hub motor and the option of supplying their own 36 or 48 volts battery pack. Direct drive motors are strong, durable, and long-lasting due to zero internal friction.
Who's it for? This kit is ideal for heavier applications with total loads (rider and gear) over 250 lbs.
Any battery chemistry (Li-ion, LiFePO4, Lithium Manganese, Lead-Acid, etc.) is acceptable, as long as the voltage is 36v or 48v AND the battery is capable of 22Amp continuous discharge. The Amp Hour (Ah) battery specification is an indication of a battery's capacity. A battery capacity of 10Ah will typically deliver 20 miles / 32 km range.
The E-BikeKit™ is designed for convenience, performance, and reliability.
With an LCD dashboard control panel and 36v/48v 12FET controller, the system is easy to install and even easier to use. All E-BikeKit system components are compatible with both 36 volt and 48 volt battery packs. The controller and LCD are also compatible with all motor types offered by E-BikeKit.

Choosing Your Wheel Size: You can find your wheel size written on your tire. Available size options for this conversion kit are: 16", 20", 24", 26", 700c, and 29er. Acceptable tire widths for the E-BikeKit rims: 1.15" (29mm) - 2.25" (57mm).
Freewheel Choice and OLD Spacing: Our motors are intended for a 7-speed freewheel and provide 135mm OLD (dropout) spacing with a 7-speed freewheel and 15mm disc-offset.
When using an 8, 9, or 10-speed freewheel, this will increase the OLD by about 3.5mm per speed. When we assemble the motor here, we will dish and space it correctly to fit this. To install the wider wheel, you may need to spread the dropouts of the bike open in order to fit.
If you are not using disc brakes, so don't need the 15mm disc-offset, we can reconfigure the spacing to fit 135mm in many cases.
